The Detex ECL-230D is a rugged exit control lock designed for secondary exit doors where unauthorized egress must be monitored. Featuring a 1″ saw-resistant dead bolt, the unit is armed and disarmed by the locking/unlocking action of the cylinder, ensuring the alarm only sounds when the door is improperly opened.
Key Features:
Dead-bolt throw: 1″ with over ¾″ engagement with the frame.
Alarm: 100 dB electronic alarm powered by a 9-V battery (included).
Accepts standard rim cylinders (5- to 7-pin) and interchangeable core rim cylinders; cylinder not included.
Re‐set of the alarm requires special control key — prevents unauthorized silencing.
Non-handed design; suitable for wood, hollow metal or aluminum doors, 1 ¾″ to 2 ¼″ thick.
Minimal projection meets IBC requirement and includes photo-luminescent sign plate for visibility in low light.
