The Trine 4850-32D is a 1/2" surface-mounted electric strike designed as the definitive one-box solution for rim panic exit devices. Its fully open cavity and included spacer system accommodate up to 1" of latch throw across six different installation thicknesses, while built-in electronics automatically accept 12–24 VDC with surge and kickback protection — making it equally at home in new construction and retrofit projects.
- Surface-Mount Profile: 1/2" thick body installs directly on the frame face; no frame cutting required.
- Versatile Spacer System: Includes one 1/4" and two 1/16" spacer plates, providing up to 6 different installation thicknesses.
- Open Cavity Design: Fully open cavity accepts latch throws up to 1" — greater versatility than competitor backplate designs.
- Patented 6-Pin Anchoring System: Trine's proprietary anchoring pins provide six additional connection points between the strike and frame for superior mounting stability.
- Field-Selectable Fail-Safe / Fail-Secure: Configurable on-site to meet either egress-first or security-first requirements without additional parts ordering.
- BHMA Grade 1 Rated: Factory tested to ANSI/BHMA A156.31; rated for 1,000,000+ life cycles and 1,500+ lbs. static holding force.
- Electrical: 12–24 VDC; Enhanced 4850 draw: 0.218 A @ 12 VDC, 0.290 A @ 16 VDC, 0.195 A @ 24 VDC (intermittent/continuous duty, silent operation); built-in surge and kickback protection.
